Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na ( H )

Cast: Imraan Khan, Genelia
Music by A R Rahman
Directed by Abbas Tyrewala
The movie can be classified as a "Chetan Bhagat"-novel-come-to-life. The story has done its round in the circuit of film industry before but Tyrewala gives it a fresh look by looking through the eyes of the present generation. He excels in bringing out the complex egos and emotions that the teenagers face today. These emotions has been truely emoted as well by Imraan and Genelia. But Abbas fails in the main department of his job: to somehow get the audience connected to the scene. This movie is something that is going to be the talk of the town among the youngster for a few months to come. After that it is "khallas"! If the commercial success alone is looked upon, this is more than enough for the director and his team.
If Aamir Khan had took up the reins, things would have been different. This movie is going to be a hit because it has got a lot of scenes where the present generation could relate themselves to ( myself included ). But, that ends there.
There were some outstanding performances, like the character done by Ratna Pathak ( Imraan's mom ) and Naseeruddin Shah ( as Imraan's deceased dad ) and Pareash Rawal ( as a bad cop ).
And the music, tops everything.
Overall, it is a good movie with its cute moments...but fails to attach itself.
