Cast: Johnny Depp, Freddie Highmore
Directed by Tim Burton
Based on the book by Roald Dahl
Magical and Lively! A Tim Burton magic right from the beginning to the end. The cuteness and the innocence is still intact. Johnny Depp again oozes with talent and performance that one can't realize that it is him. The entire movie is very colourful and lively. The sets and the visual effects are impressive and attractive. The background score is also good. It brings about the morale in a cute manner that will be acceptable for the kids. And not only the kids, it is once in a while endearing to watch such light movies to lighten ourselves.
Tim Burton has always stood apart in visualization of things and for his creativity. And this movie was a perfect experiment ground for him. Rock on!
