Genre: Drama/Comedy
Cast: Sasson Gabai
Directed by Eran Kolirin
The Band's Visit is a silent winner. The movie starts with "the Egyptian Orchestra" arriving at Israel for a performance ( for which they were invited ). But on arriving they find they are stranded at the airport ( No one to pick them up and take them to the venue. ), So they decide to manage themselves.
They reach a restaurant run by a lady. They are taken in for a day at the restaurant lady's house and her friend's home. The rest of the movie shows how each band member and the lady connect with their inner self. It is all shown in a very subtle manner.
Kudos to the director for making a different film like this.
