Genre: Drama/Comedy
Cast: Michel Jeolsas
Directed by Cao Hamburger
1970. Brasil. Football world cup winners. Dictatorship. These sentences will bring one thing to mind. Violence. Non. That is where this movie takes a wide deflection. Everything that happens in the film is shown through the eyes of a child who is left behind to stay with his grandfather while his parents flee saying they are going on a vacation. But just before his arrival his grandfather passes away. So an old man staying next door takes him in amidst reluctance. What follows is a subtle movement of the story through the world cup and dictatorship.
Daring to be different.
