The title of the movie represents a place in Madurai - Subramaniyapuram. The movie holds trust, loyalty and love as its main pillars of strength.
The movies shuttles back and forth across two years- 1980 and 2008. In 1980, it is the friendship among 5 youngsters that forms the main theme and in the present time frame, it depicts the fall of that friendship.
The theme has been experimented many times by several veterans. But, the difference here is that a group of youngsters have tried out the story in their format. Be it the make-up man, the music-director, artists, etc all are new-comers. And coming from them, this is a whiff of fresh air. There is no hyped up emotional drama or action. It is all depicted in a realistic way.
