Associations

There is always a difference to doing things alone and doing things with your close friend. When one embarks on a solo mission, he/she has to constantly find inner strength to finish what was started. And that is a very tough job. This is not the case when one works with his close friends or relatives. There are always plenty of options for finding new inspirations when working together. It can be the fun factor or it could be the good rapport that the two individuals share or it maybe the final goal that makes them move. The best example that can be used to illustrate this is the associations that are seen in the film industry.
One of the most famous association was between Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro. This lasted for about two decades. And the movies where these two personalities hooked up turned out to be critically-acclaimed materials. "Mean Streets", "Taxi Driver", "New York, New York", "Raging Bull", "The King of Comedy", "Goodfellas", and "Cape Fear" were the films that brought together Scorsese and De Niro. Then Scorsese shifted his attention to another talent, Leonardo Di Caprio. Their associations include: "The Gangs of New York", " The Aviator", the Oscar winning "The Departed" and yet to be released "Shutter Island" and "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt". The advantages of such associations are that the whole process of getting the chemistry right between the director and the actor can be avoided everytime a new movie is being made.
Many such associations exists. More on that later on. Until then...Ciao!
